Jeredan Surgeon grew up inside the family firm, and it shows in everything he builds. He is the rare operator who is equally fluent in marketing, software, and service design — and he uses all three to make JJ&A feel less like an accounting office and more like a product people are genuinely glad to use.

If you have touched JJ&A digitally, you have touched Jeredan’s work. He designed and developed the Tax Organizer, the secure Client Portal, this very website, the Self-Service Payroll Portal, and the Finances in Focus email briefings that keep clients ahead of their numbers. Each one started from the same question: how do we remove friction for the client?

He is also the firm’s future. Arthur — his father and JJ&A’s founder — intends to pass the company to Jeredan to steward, a transition Jeredan is preparing for by completing his Bachelor of Accounting at Harvard Extension School. The degree pairs his technical and creative strengths with the formal accounting foundation the role demands.

The result is a practice being quietly rebuilt for the next generation of business owners: the same Greensboro values that have always defined JJ&A, expressed through tools that respect a client’s time.
