Early enrollment open now for JJ&A payroll clients.
Why We Built This
Payroll is one of the most personal interactions a business has with its employees. It happens on a fixed schedule, it affects people’s lives directly, and when something goes wrong with it—a missing pay stub, a wrong withholding, a direct deposit question with no one to ask—it creates friction between an owner and their team that has nothing to do with the work.
For most small and mid-size businesses, that friction gets absorbed informally. Employees email their manager or the owner directly. Owners forward the question to their payroll provider. The payroll provider responds when they get to it. Three people are involved in a transaction that should require none of them.
JJ&A’s Employee Payroll Portal is built to eliminate that friction entirely. Every employee of every business we serve—from a team of three to a workforce of a hundred—gets direct, secure, self-service access to their own payroll information, on demand, from any device. And when they need more than the portal can give them, a live support channel connects them to the JJ&A team directly.
The portal launches June 30, 2026. Business owners who enroll now will have their teams onboarded and ready on launch day. If you are a JJ&A payroll client and have not received enrollment instructions yet, contact our office or use the link at the bottom of this section.
What the Portal Does
The portal gives employees direct, self-service access to the categories of payroll and HR information they typically need to ask someone else about—available without the intermediary.
Pay Stubs
Every pay stub, current and historical, accessible and downloadable any time. Gross pay, net pay, deductions, and taxes broken down clearly for every pay period.
W-2 Access
W-2s available in the portal as soon as they are issued each year—no waiting for a mailed copy, no asking the office manager. Accessible and downloadable directly.
Direct Deposit Management
Employees can update their direct deposit information—bank account, routing number, split deposits—directly in the portal without going through the employer or payroll team.
PTO Balances
Current PTO balance, accrued time, and usage history visible at any time—so employees can plan time off without having to ask what they have left.
Tax Withholding (W-4)
Employees can review and update their federal and state withholding elections directly—changes take effect on the next payroll cycle without any paperwork.
Benefits Election Management
Health insurance, retirement contributions, and other benefit elections visible and manageable in one place—particularly valuable during open enrollment periods.
Every employee also has access to a live chat channel connecting them directly to the JJ&A payroll support team—available alongside our existing phone line. This is not a chatbot or an FAQ engine. It is a real conversation with the team that manages your payroll. For questions the portal cannot answer—a payroll discrepancy, a benefit question, a tax situation—support is one message away.
What This Means for Your Business
The direct benefit to your employees is self-evident—they get faster access to their own information without having to ask for it. But the operational benefit to you as an owner is equally significant.
- Fewer interruptions to your day
Payroll questions—"when does my PTO reset?", "can I change my bank account?", "can you send me my W-2?"—are among the most common employee requests owners and office managers field. The portal handles all of them without requiring anyone on your team to be in the loop.
- Better data security
Pay stubs and W-2s shared over email are an information security risk. The portal delivers sensitive payroll documents through an authenticated, encrypted channel—protecting your employees’ data and reducing your exposure.
- Cleaner withholding and benefits data
When employees update their own W-4 withholding or benefits elections directly, the data goes straight into the system accurately. No transcription errors from a paper form, no lost update requests, no "I thought I changed that" conversations at year-end.
- A more professional employee experience
The portal signals to your team that their payroll and HR information is managed with care. For businesses that compete for talent, the quality of the employee experience—including the administrative experience—matters. A self-service portal is table stakes at larger companies. JJ&A is bringing it to businesses of every size.
How to Enroll Your Business
Enrollment is handled through JJ&A directly. If you are an existing payroll client, your account is already in our system—setup is minimal. Here is what the process looks like:
Contact JJ&A to confirm enrollment

We will verify that all active employees are in the system with current email addresses—the email address is how each employee receives their portal invitation on launch day.
Your employees receive invitations on June 30
On launch day, every employee on your roster receives a secure invitation to activate their portal account. The activation process takes less than five minutes and can be completed from any device.

Getting Started With Your Payroll Portal
If your employer uses JJ&A for payroll services, you will receive an email invitation to activate your portal account on June 30, 2026. The email will come from JJ&A Accounting Services and will contain a secure activation link. The whole process takes less than five minutes.
Check your email on June 30
Look for an invitation from JJ&A Accounting Services. If you do not see it in your inbox, check your spam or junk folder. The subject line will reference your payroll portal invitation.
Click the activation link and set your password
The link will take you to a secure page where you create your account password. Use the email address your employer has on file—this is your username. The link expires after 48 hours; if it expires, contact JJ&A support to request a new one.
Review your information
Once inside, take a few minutes to confirm that your direct deposit information, address, and tax withholding elections are current. If anything needs updating, you can make changes directly in the portal.
Bookmark the portal for future access
The portal address is portal.jjanda.com. Bookmark it now so you can access your pay stubs, W-2s, and PTO balance any time—without having to find the original email again.
If your employer uses JJ&A for payroll and you did not receive an invitation by July 1, the most likely cause is an email address mismatch in our system. Contact your employer to confirm the email address on file, or reach out to JJ&A directly through the support channels listed below.
What You Can Do in the Portal
The portal is designed to give you direct access to your own payroll and HR information—no waiting, no asking, no going through your employer for things that belong to you in the first place.
View and Download Pay Stubs
Every pay stub from your current employment is in the portal, searchable by date. Download individual stubs or multiple periods at once as PDFs—useful for loan applications, rental applications, or your own records.
Access Your W-2
Your W-2 is available in the portal as soon as it is issued, typically in January. Download it directly rather than waiting for a mailed copy or asking your employer to resend it.
Update Direct Deposit
Changed banks? Added a new account? Update your direct deposit information directly in the portal. Changes submitted before the payroll cutoff date take effect on the next pay cycle.
Check Your PTO Balance
See your current available PTO, accrued time, and usage history at any time. No more asking HR what you have left before requesting a day off.
Update Tax Withholding (W-4)
If your tax situation has changed—a new dependent, a second job, a major life event—you can update your W-4 withholding elections directly in the portal. Changes take effect on the following payroll cycle.
Manage Benefits Elections
Review your current benefit elections—health insurance, retirement contributions, and other employer-provided benefits—and make changes during open enrollment periods directly through the portal.
Getting Help
The portal handles the most common payroll questions without any human involvement. But when you need something the portal cannot give you—a discrepancy in your pay, a question about your benefits, a situation that does not fit the standard options—JJ&A’s payroll support team is reachable two ways.
Live Chat
Available directly inside the portal. Start a conversation with the JJ&A payroll team and get a response from a real person—not a bot. Best for questions that need a quick answer during business hours.
Phone Support
Call JJ&A directly at (336) 245-4154. Our team handles payroll questions for all client employees—you do not need to go through your employer to reach us.
The JJ&A payroll team handles questions about your pay calculations, tax withholding, direct deposit, and W-2s. Questions about your PTO policy, benefits eligibility, or employment terms should still go to your employer—those are decisions your company makes, not JJ&A.
Common Questions
Is my information secure in the portal?
Yes. The portal uses encrypted connections and authenticated access—your information is only accessible to you after you log in with your credentials. JJ&A does not share your personal payroll data with anyone other than your employer and applicable tax authorities.
What if I forget my password?
Use the "Forgot Password" link on the login page to reset your password via your registered email address. If you no longer have access to that email, contact JJ&A support through live chat or phone to verify your identity and update your account.
When do direct deposit changes take effect?
Changes submitted before your employer's payroll cutoff date will take effect on the next pay cycle. Changes submitted after the cutoff will take effect on the following cycle. If you are unsure of your cutoff date, check with your employer or ask JJ&A support.
Can I access the portal on my phone?
Yes. The portal is fully accessible from any modern browser on any device—phone, tablet, or computer. No app download is required.
My pay stub looks wrong. What do I do?
Contact JJ&A payroll support directly via live chat or phone. Have your pay stub open and be ready to describe the discrepancy. Our team will review your payroll record and work with your employer to resolve any errors.
I left my job. Can I still access my pay stubs and W-2?
Yes. Former employees retain access to their portal for the purpose of accessing historical pay stubs and W-2s. Contact JJ&A if you are having trouble accessing your account after leaving your employer.
What if my employer is not using JJ&A for payroll?
The portal is available to employees of businesses that use JJ&A for payroll services. If your employer does not use JJ&A, the portal is not available to you through us—speak with your employer about their payroll provider's self-service options.
