Arthur Surgeon
Founder and Partner

Arthur is all business. All the time. He thinks about your business and how he can help your business 24/7. He believes his customers are part of his family and treats them that way.

Arthur’s mission is for clients to succeed – we are behind them 120%. 

Arthur’s passion for helping businesses grow started early. He attended North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, studying finance, and Syracuse University, where he studied accounting with a concentration on taxes.

Arthur has also worked in various industries, including nonprofits, service, manufacturing, distribution and startups. From Fortune 100 companies like PepsiCo to local nonprofits like the Eastside Community Center, his depth of experience and broad knowledge provide our clients with the insight they need to make the right decisions for continued success.  

In the few instances when Arthur isn’t working, he is fishing or watching fishing on Youtube. He also likes playing golf and going to the range. He also enjoys working with nonprofits and spending time with family – in the office and outside. Arthur may be all business, but he is also all heart. 

 

Logan Adams
Managing Accountant

“Do it right the first time – so it will last” is Logan’s motto. 

Logan’s goal is to give business owners a complete understanding of their business, so they are in the best situation and their business can last for generations. 

Logan enjoys open communication with her clients as well as an open door. They are welcome to call her directly to discuss their business so she can give them the personal attention they deserve. With over 25 years of accounting experience, Logan knows the ins and outs of everything from taxes to bookkeeping, giving every client 110% of her attention. That, along with her cheerful disposition, are just a couple of the reasons they love working with her.

Logan enjoys spending time with her husband and son when she isn’t in the office. She loves to be anywhere with the sun, water and island living. She also loves the arts – architecture, music, ballet, painting, you name it. Logan’s love for everything art is apparent at the office, too, because she makes every client’s books a masterpiece.

Debora Bailey
Accountant

Debora is all smiles and all knowledge when it comes to our client’s accounting. She is committed to helping clients make the right decisions for their business. Her dedication led her to JJ&A after retiring from Lincoln Financial – she just could not stop helping others. 

Debora spends time with her husband, three kids and grandchildren when she is not at work. You can also find her every Monday helping to feed the homeless in Greensboro with the Powerhouse of Deliverance, Love & Family Transition (LIFT) program. Her passion for helping others shines at work and in the community.

Office Manager

“My goal is to take the great people I meet every day and push them to be better.”

For two years, I’ve had the opportunity to work for Surjmor Inc where I scheduled meetings and appointments. While also providing general administrative support to all of my team members.

When I meet a client, I want them to feel as comfortable as possible as they take a new step forward in their business. I communicate with all of our clients not only to schedule appointments but also to remind them of any correspondence from our accounting team.

I want to think of myself as reliable, honest, and positive with my team and clients.
